OUR PROGRAMMES

Hospital Radio Perth broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The bulk of our live programming is transmitted in the evening and at weekends when our volunteers are available. However we have a range of pre-recorded programming that we use throught the day and night. Some of the time - and it's as seldom as we can - we allow the computer to pick the music.

Why not just play Radio Tay or Radio 2? Well, after over a dozen years of broadcasting to PRI and Murray Royal and several patient surveys, we think we have a reasonable idea of what patients want and when.

We don't pretend that our schedule will be to everyone's liking, but it certainly reflects the thousands of requests we collect each year. In addition 24 hour broadcasting gives us the chance to pass on information on what is happening around the hospitals, services that are available and organisations that the patient may find of use.
