Monday to Friday at 1pm BOOKMARK features an hour of plays, short stories and poems. Some are commercially available but many have been produced specifically for hospital radio. So although you'll hear professionally recorded plays and readings by authors such as Alan Bennett we are particularly delighted to present a selection of works by the members of Perthshire Writers' Group. The group's aims are to encourage and develop those who enjoy writing for pleasure.

Hospital Radio Perth hosts regular sessions where the writers have the opportunity to read and record their short stories and poems. Many have local subjects, others describe events a great way off, some are serious and thought provoking while others are light and humourous, but all are of a very high standard.

Our listeners often tell us just how much they enjoy these pieces read with feeling by the person who wrote them.

We feel that it is what hospital broadcasting is all about and hope to enjoy many more years of liaison with the Perthshire Writers' Group.
