| In 1996 we entered the Awards for the first time. You can imagine how shocked we were when Gordon Kaye,the star of 'Allo 'Allo, announced we'd won! We were joined at the top of the BT Tower by Ken Bruce who helped us celebrate then gave us a guided tour of Radio 2. |

| In 1997 we joined Nottingham Hospital Radio as the only stations to win the award twice. The presentation was made by Vicki Michelle who is probably best known for playing the sexy Yvette Carte-Blanche in the BBC's 'Allo 'Allo |

| In 1999 we were sent to Coventry for the Awards which were presented by the late Jeremy Beadle. We became the only station to win the award 3 times. Even today, no other station has won it more than twice. |

| In 2004 we entered the new category of "Children's Broadcasting". Alistair Smith had been presenting the Monday kids programme for many years so we were delighted to be the first winners. The trophy was presented by two of the CBBC presenters. |

| The 2007 Awards were introduced by radio executive Paul Robinson and BBC weather girl, Carol Kirkwood. The Station Of The Year Award was presented by Radio 2 presenter Charles Nove. We were delighted when he read out our name. |

| 2003 ENTRY | The HBA Awards entry must be a recording of no more than 15 minutes that gives a good indication of our service and can only feature items broadcast in the previous year. This is our entry for the 2003 awards. |

| 2004 ENTRY | This is another Hospital Broadcasting Awards entry, this time from 2004. It came third. I'm sure you will agree that it gives you a good indication of what goes on at the station and the sort of programmes you can hear. |

| Hospital Radio Perth endeavours to broadcast full commentary of every St Johnstone game, home and away. In addition we occasionally cover rugby and horse racing. Sports broadcasting doesn't always go strictly to plan - just ask Murray Walker! |
